Sometimes the Internet is a Gift

 

    Some people wake up and choose happiness, others wake up and choose violence. I woke up today and chose to stumble on the most obscure ends of the internet. I'd feel comfortable saying that my music taste is pretty eclectic, but if I had a mainstay genre it's definitely hardcore rock/metal core. As most Americans would, I think of areas like the U.S. Canada, Scandinavia and even Australia as hotbeds for this kind of music.

    I was not expecting to discover the Mongolian folk/metal side of things because I had no clue that it even existed! If I'm being totally honest, and shame on me for this, I had my history mixed up and whenever I think of Mongolia, I think of the historical empire that fell, not as a present-day nation. I'd like to offer my sincerest apologies to the Mongolian people for that, and express that your music is AWESOME! Don't believe me? Just check out The Hu.

    I am here for it. Alllllllllll of it. Also, credit to the American artists featured on their songs for not trying to force themselves into a musical culture that they don't fit. They just found a way to blend their styles with The Hu's so everyone remains true to who they are.
