They Are Who We Thought They Were

The Las Vegas Raiders are currently down 21-0 to the LA Chargers going into the half of Monday Night Football. I really don't have much to say here that's going to be groundbreaking because we've seen this movie time and time again.

The Raiders have this knack for starting every season under Jon Gruden hot as a desert in August. After the first quarter of the season goes by, they can't decide whether they want to stay hot or go ice cold. The team is the definition of inconsistent and mediocre, and I really can't say I'm shocked.

When Vegas beat Baltimore to start the season, I knew we were going into yet another sequel of the same movie. It was a huge win for Vegas, but one that is pretty standard for the first part of the year. So even if the Raiders pull off a miraculous comeback against the Chargers, they've already shown, with just one half of play, who they really are. Vegas fans shouldn't expect much for the remainder of the season, or the near future either if things continue to go this way.

Al Davis will continue to roll over in his grave.
