The NFL Kind Of Sucks This Year

We're almost to the halfway point of the season for the NFL and I don't know if everyone will feel the same as me, but this season has been pretty awful so far. Outside of Josh Allen being an absolute mutant, there aren't many players who are doing anything great on a consistent basis. Almost none of the teams we expected to be good are meeting expectations, and the old guard of quarterbacks has gotten really old, really fast.

Who are the good teams in the league this year? Buffallo, Philly, Kansas City and.....? I might be willing to put the Cowboys up there after this weekend, but they did play the Bears of all teams. We need more excitement and fun in the league, and I have a few ideas on what might help:

  1. Lamar Jackson needs to run more - I get that he's playing for a contract so maintaining his health is his top priority, but watching Lamar take off and feel like you never know what he's going to do next is one of the most electrifying things in the entire NFL. He has gotten so much better as a pocket passer and doesn't need to rely on this, but if his receivers keep getting hurt he might end up having to go full Thanos and doing it all himself.
  2. We need the Good Justin Herbert - I think it's safe to say the Chargers have been one of, if not the biggest disappointments of the season so far. I know they've dealt with a ton of injuries, but if Justin Herbert is what we think he is, he's gotta be the guy who can will his team to victories.
  3. Bench Brady and Rodgers - It's just sad at this point. We don't need to take 'em out back and Old Yeller them per say, but it's over, give them a swift and painless death.
  4. Derrick Henry plays Houston Every Week - It's so much fun watching King Henry go Marshawn Lynch and just, "run through a mother fuckas face" over and over and over and over and over again.
  5. Better Primetime Games - Hard to do this with a league full of mediocre teams but, I mean, this primetime slates have been awful this year. There's no way around it.
