Ben Simmons Should Be Disappointed in His Parents

Ben Simmons should be disappointed. Not in himself, not in his team for getting their dicks kicked in by the Boston Celtics, but in his parents. Why his parents? Because they raised Ben to be the way that he is. People don't just grow up to be how they are regardless of what's around them, they are usually a product of their environment.

I like to think I'm a pretty level-headed guy, had some issues with depression and anxiety and all of that, but everything I have become I can trace back to the environment I was raised in. I love my parents because of what they made me. I could've easily been a drug addict, criminal, or even a country music fan. But the parents of Ben Simmons? Oh man, I would not want to be them just based on what I see from their son.

Look at the picture above. That is what Simmons decided to wear while sitting out of Game 3 while in Brooklyn. The dude is wearing the absolute loudest outfit he could possibly wear in an arena full of people wearing... wait for it... black and white. The man is the modern day version of the hot dog costume "we're all trying to find the guy who did this" meme. If we were playing Where's Waldo and Simmons was Waldo, it would be harder to find the crowd around him. As a child your parents have to have instilled a special level of egotism in you to dress that flamboyantly while you're team is getting dog walked on the court.

I would comment on what Simmons wore in the Series clincher for Boston, but instead, he just decided to not show up. This man has been avoiding any level of accountability, collecting as much money as he can while not doing his job and on some days he doesn't even bother showing up to work. What has Ben Simmons done to earn this level of narcissism? Grew up to be really tall and athletic? He's doing absolutely nothing with it!

During the end of his time in Philly, Simmons was claiming mental health issues as to why he couldn't play. That one is tricky because you can't see anything that truly signals mental health, but as someone who lives with my own degree of mental health issues, I'm going to call total and complete bullshit on that. Now it's a mysterious back injury? Just come out and say you want to get paid millions to do nothing, Ben. You weren't meant for the bright lights and the big stage, it's ok to admit. Not everybody is cut out for it.

And once you admit that, go have a conversation with your parents about why they raised you to be such a baby back bitch.
