We've all seen bad calls in games before. We've seen missed calls, bad replay results, and games where it seemed the refs clearly had a dog in the fight. But, I guarantee you've never seen anything quite like this before.

I mean, how obvious is it that the ball is still in the McDonogh kid's stick after the clock hits triple 0s? He's not even at the end of his shooting motion, he's still cocking back! I get that refs are human, and humans make mistakes, but this was a mistake that's going to affect lives and some of the most important memories these kids will have.
If I'm going to lose, I want to lose legit. I don't want to meet up with the boys after the season, or down the road and reminisce about the playing days we had only to have it soured by the fact that we got shafted in our last ever high school game. Chances are some of the boys on Boy's Latin know some of the kids on McDonogh from club ball too; now all both sides have is a bad argument as to why they won/lost. Yeah, McDonogh can say they play through the whistle and that's true, but Latin will always have the argument that the whistle didn't come at the right time.
I appreciate the people who are willing to referee games, especially when they have to deal with me jumping down their throats when they screw something up. But no matter how bad you are, this is unacceptable.
Do better.
