First things first, congrats to Georgia; It's about damn time you got over the hump. Now that that's done: man the game last night sucked.
No really, it did. Don't be fooled by the theatrics at the end of the game. There was one, and only one good quarter of football for both teams. The first three quarters were a misery-laden mess with both sides petrified to make a mistake, playing so conservative that even Mitch McConnell would blush. Bryce Young looked nothing like a Heisman trophy winner, and Stetson Bennett made me feel like this was his first time picking up a football at times.
The defenses were good, not great. But it's easy to look great when the quarterback play stinks like a middle school locker room. It was painful to watch, and I only stuck with it because I had money on the game. I don't care about injuries, I don't care about the pressure of the moment, and I definitely don't care about the 4th quarter. That game was terrible, and everybody is too willing to let it pass just because they had some fun at the end.
That being said, those were definitely the best two teams in the country, they just played like shit.
